Culligan / Waterlogic deal not opposed, subject to undertakings

The ACCC has announced it will not oppose the proposed Waterlogic Group Holdings Limited (Waterlogic) by the Culligan Group (Culligan). This follows the acceptance of a court-enforceable undertaking from Osmosis Buyer Limited (Culligan’s parent company) to divest the Billi business. Waterlogic and Culligan are the largest two providers of instant filtered water taps; divestiture of the Billi brands will, according to ACCC Commissioner Stephen Ridgeway, ensure that ‘there will remain at least two key competitors for the supply of multi-functional taps’.
